The Emerald Ash Borer is a major pest to the Ash trees in our area. Since its discovery in Michigan in 2002, the Emerald Ash Borer has killed over 10 million trees.
The larvae of the Emerald Ash Borer do the most harm to the Ash trees. They tunnel under the bark and disrupt the systems that transport food and water throughout the tree, eventually starving and ultimately killing the tree. These insects are now actively found in Bucks County & Montgomery County, PA.
